Vivek Kumar SINGH
Vivek Kumar Singh is a Research Engineer in IRG CENSAM, SMART. He is pursuing his doctoral degree in Atmospheric Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). His thesis work is related to the improvement in land use parameterization techniques in mesoscale model for Industrial heat island studies.
Vivek holds a Masters degree in Remote Sensing and GIS with a specialisation in Geoinfomatics from the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, ISRO (IIRS, ISRO) and Bachelors of technology in Information Technology from JNTU Hyderabad. He has experience in using satellite data analysis for urban land use studies and weather forecasting models.
He has been awarded the ISRO scholarship for his contribution in the development of an agent-based algorithm for studying urban land use patterns under the ISRO-IGBP Land Use Land Cover project. Vivek is also a people choice awardee under water category for developing an offline flood rescue app under Make in India 2016.
Vivek is currently working with Dr. Juan Angel Acero Alejandro and Prof. Leslie Norford (MIT-USA).
