Who saw the bear?
The SEC is supposed to be empty. But...someone spotted a bear! Who?! Dr Muhammad Omer Mughal shares his ups and downs as the lone ranger at the centre.

I pass through security checks at the CREATE Tower every day and the same security officer asks me the same question, even though his sheets says “daily entry”.
My temperature has been recorded as 34o and lower, which shows that I am almost dead but still they are recorded in the security entry sheets. My parents and even the doctors were confused why I am still alive, breathing, and functioning normally.
It’s a weird kind of feeling being all alone in the office, sometimes with no air-conditioning. I am the only one in the office only because I need to access the supercomputer for my computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis. There is no other way about it, other than to be physically in the office.
From a research point of view, it’s great to have no interruption, tbought it sometimes breaks your back if you are in the same room for 7 to 8 hours straight without interacting with anyone. Plus there isn't even anyone to chat with or to complain to.
However, during these tough times, I have managed to find the missing jigsaw pieces of my research and am well on the way to completing my CFD analysis, thanks to the time and space availability!
