On 10 July, researchers from SEC took part in the CREATE Symposium 2023, a showcase of the best research developments from the National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore's Campus for Research Excellence And Technological Enterprise (CREATE) hub.

This year's theme at the Symposium 2023 was the 'Science of #Sustainable Cities'. All of SEC's programmes and projects were represented at the symposium, drawing keen interest from participants. These included from Future Health Technologies' (FHT) health and mobility devices with RELab ETH Zürich, Future Cities Lab (FCL) Global's urban platforms, Future Resilient Systems' (FRS) Microclimate platform and Cooling Singapore's Digital Urban Climate Twin (DUCT) - .

Featuring keynotes, exhibits and demos, it included an afternoon panel on future healthy cities moderated by our very own Prof. Dr Gisbert Schneider and a discussion on Singapore’s food system, with Dr Iris Haberkorn on the panel.

Prof. Dr Joël Mesot, President of ETH Zurich, was present to interact with researchers. Also at the event was Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Chairman of the NRF board.

SEC would like to thank all VIPs, guests and fellow CREATE researchers for touring our exhibitions, asking questions and allowing us to xplain our research. We also thank researchers for all your hard work!
