23 Oct | Dr Anne Guerry will explore how current case studies of nature's contributions to human wellbeing can be used to inform decisions for the future.

by Xin Yi Wee

The central development challenge of our time is securing the life-support systems that underpin human wellbeing and life on the planet. To create a future where people and nature thrive, we need advances in science, technology, and partnerships that illuminate the many contributions nature makes to human wellbeing and to ultimately shift the calculus of decisions. We need to use new understanding of where and when nature matters most to people and new visions of the future to inform decisions with better outcomes for both people and nature, today and into the future.

With a focus on sustainable, liveable cities and climate adaptation planning, Dr Anne Guerry will explore case studies in which information about where and when nature contributes to wellbeing is enriching the conversation and improving decisions from local to global scales.
